The duo Maria Chiara Argirò and Jamie Leeming performed at Daylight Music event yesterday with the compositions from the upcoming album "Flow", to be released next year. Maria is a pianist, keyboard player and composer with two albums under her sleeve, latest being "Hidden Seas" under Cavalo Records. Born in Rome, Maria is a graduate from Tor Vergata University of Rome, London Centre of Contemporary Music and Middlesex Uni (BA in Jazz). She performed internationally in her own projects as well as bands, such as These New Puritans.
Jamie Leeming is a guitarist and composer, graduate from the Middlesex Uni (Jazz) and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Jamie is recording his own compositions, one of them is a critically acclaimed "Heartsong" work with a few vocalists and musicians, creating space and atmosphere with a lot of delays. He performed over UK and internationally on multiple stages, including Red Bull Music Festival, Stockholm Jazz Festival and The Blue Note Jazz Festival.
Their dual performance warmed up the audience at the 19c. Union Chapel in London, bringing fresh light to the rainy afternoon.
